Geosky Airlines’ Corporate Social Responsibility Project — KARTVELI. Journey through time and Space

19 May 2026

In 2026, Geosky Airlines continues to support educational and cultural initiatives within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility project“Promoting Aviation and Supporting the Professional Development of the Younger Generation in the Aviation Industry.” The project aims to raise awareness of aviation in Georgia, promote the country’s national aviation heritage, and support the professional development of future generations.

Within the framework of the project, and based on a Memorandum of Cooperation signed between author Ramaz Bluashvili and Geosky Airlines, the airline became a partner and supporter of the publication of the book KARTVELI. Journey through time and Space.” The information presented in the book is the result of many years of research, historical materials, and unique facts, introducing readers to the history of aviation and space through a Georgian perspective.

The book is based on materials collected over a period of 21 years about Alexander Kartveli — the Georgian-born aviation engineer and aircraft constructor who made a significant contribution to the development of global aviation and earned a distinguished place in the history of military aviation in the United States of America. The innovative aircraft developed under his leadership are still regarded as major achievements in aerospace engineering, while his professional legacy remains a symbol of inspiration and determination for younger generations.

A special place in the book is dedicated to the history of the Georgian polyphonic masterpiece Chakrulo,” which is associated with a NASA space mission and the Voyager Golden Record. The book brings together aviation, space, science, and Georgian cultural heritage, giving it unique educational and motivational significance for younger generations.

Ramaz Bluashvili is a passionate enthusiast and active promoter of science, aviation, and the history of space exploration. Symbolically, the idea behind the project emerged from the very intersection of aviation and space — a Geosky-operated freighter aircraft, unintentionally captured in a photograph taken by the author, later became the catalyst for the collaboration that ultimately brought the book’s publication initiative to life.

For Geosky Airlines, aviation is not merely an operational activity — it represents a space for knowledge, history, technological progress, and the development of future generations. This vision serves as the foundation of the airline’s Corporate Social Responsibility programs.

Since 2019, within the framework of its CSR project, the airline has annually financed the education of three outstanding aviation university students through a scholarship program. In addition, Geosky Airlines actively collaborates with students and graduates in aviation technical and engineering fields, providing them with the opportunity to undertake practical internships directly within the airport’s technical and operational environment.

Following the successful completion of these practical programs, distinguished young professionals with outstanding academic performance are given the opportunity to continue their professional careers within the airline, representing an important step toward the development of a new generation of aviation specialists in Georgia.

Geosky believes that supporting aviation history, education, and cultural heritage creates the foundation for a future in which younger generations will play an even more active role in the development of the aviation and space industries.
